Team Ireland Announcement for 2025 World University Games

The Irish team set to compete at the 2025 World University Games in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany from July 16th to 27th will be officially unveiled at a team photocall on Thursday, July 10th, at the Technological University Dublin’s Grangegorman campus.

Team Ireland will feature 22 student-athletes representing six sports: Athletics, Archery, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, and Tennis.

The delegation will be led by Head of Delegation Niamh O’Callaghan (TU Dublin) and Deputy Head of Delegation Noreen O’Connell (University of Limerick).

In the lead-up to the official announcement, athlete profiles will be released throughout the week on the World University Games Hub on the Student Sport Ireland (SSI) website and across SSI’s social media channels.
